Fabulous Fridays with Miss Janet

Dear Parents:

My name is Miss Janet, and I will am thrilled to teach these Fabulous Friday classes held on Friday’s from 9am-11:30am. I will have 5 Sessions this year—each is approximatley 6 weeks long. There is a new exciting theme for each session. I prefer you sign up for an entire session because we will build on information each week.

The purpose of Fabulous Fridays is to expand the learning opportunities of our children in science, social studies, and math, while having a fabulous good time! All lessons will focus on National Learning Standards and Ohio’s Early Learning Content Standards.

My focus will be on the Sciences [that we can all grow up to be an amazing Scientist!] and Math [that we can use marvelous math all around us in unusual and simple ways], and the Social Sciences [understanding our part in society, economics, government and geography]. Lessons will include science experiments, math manipulatives, literature, and many games and constructive play to experience different roles, even how to make money!

Our Friday schedule will look like:

9:00-9:10 Welcome/free play
9:10-9:50 Opening story/Connections to learning
9:50-10:20 Learning activity (manipulatives/ extension)
10:20-10:45 Experiment/craft
10:45-11:00 Snack
11:00-11:25 Outside/inside play, or yoga
11:25-11:30 Lesson review/dismiss

I am thrilled to be able to offer this very enriching program on Fridays. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions!

Cost for each class is $20.00.
